Yoga Dharma Day Retreat Online
Sunday 5th July, 2020
9.00 - 17.30
Authentic self expression
Join Theresa and Pernilla for a soulful yoga experience, celebrating Dharma Day and the full moon in July. We will enjoy a holistic wellness day together. Rejuvenate your mind, body and soul with this online retreat from the comfort of your home.
Dharma Day is celebrated on the full moon day of July, marking the beginnings of the teachings of the Buddha. The Buddha taught out of compassion for the world, for the welfare and happiness of all beings. This is a day to express gratitude that the Buddha and other enlightened teachers have shared their knowledge with others and a day to reflect on our own soul journey.
Being authentic and speaking your truth is the path to happiness, peace, and joy.
The day begins with an uplifting and energizing morning practice, while the afternoon offers more stillness and relaxation. Themed around the Throat Chakra this day seeks to empower each and every one of us to stand in our truth, with kindness and confidence.
We will be exploring meditation, pranayama breathing techniques, chanting, and powerful mantras, invoking Kwan Yin, the Buddhist goddess of compassion and healing. The morning yoga class will energize and activate our entire being. For the mid day break we’ll share some nourishing and yummy lunch ideas. The day continues with journaling around truthfulness and inner guidance and moves into a slow, mindful Yin yoga sequence, balancing the flow of prana, the vital life force.
In the beautiful closing circle we’ll gather around an imaginary fire place, with each of us using a candle to set the scene. Listen or sing along to live music, from the beautiful tones of the traditional Indian harmonium. This day of friendship, happiness, gratitude, and love for one self and others will be truly magical!
